The Major Baca Memorial Run is an international event held for over 30 years as part of the celebrations honoring the memory of local hero Major Jan Antoni Kaczmarczyk, an AK partisan who was shot by the Nazis during World War II. The memorial combines sports and health benefits with educational and historical aspects, providing a unique opportunity to commemorate these significant events for the local community. The main race (the 10-kilometer course is certified by PZLA) is accompanied by a race for children and youth, as well as a family picnic by the Raba River.

Highlights

  • The main race is certified by the Polish Athletics Association (PZLA) and is 10 kilometers long.
  • The event will take place in Bochni–Chodenice on August 10, 2025.
  • The organizers encourage participation and a collective celebration of the memory of the local hero.
